On November 6, the leaders meeting of APEC 2017 officially opened in Danang, Vietnam. The leaders from the United States, Russia, China, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines and other leaders of APEC members as well as the representatives of more than 2000 regional and international enterprises and 800 Vietnam local enterprises attended the meeting. The theme of this year’s conference is “Building a New Driving Force, Creating a Shared Future”, which focuses on the new trend of globalization, regional economic integration, competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises and other issues. Wang Xiaofei, Chairman of Zhongke Electric Power Equipment Group, was invited to attend the APEC Summit.
“This Summit provides a high-end platform for the commercial and industrial circles of each APEC members to strengthen the cooperation and grasp the opportunities. APEC is the highest-level, broadest and most influential economic cooperation mechanism in Asia Pacific region. It has 21 members. It is committed to promoting regional trade and investment liberalization, strengthening economic and technical cooperation among its members. Its purpose is to maintain economic growth and development for the common interests of the people of the region, promote economic interdependence among its members, and strengthen the open multilateral trading system to reduce regional trade and investment barriers.
At the conference, Chairman Wang Xiaofei had extensive discussions and exchanges with representatives of many institutions, entrepreneurs and industry experts, and was optimistic about the outcomes of this Summit. From the global perspective, the Asia Pacific economy will become an important force for the rapid development of the world economy under the leadership of many member economies.
Speaking of the development of enterprises, Chairman Wang Xiaofei expressed that the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises is an important theme of this APEC Summit. Under the new circumstance, Zhongke Electric Power will follow the national “Belt and Road” strategy, take innovation as the guidance, aim at the advanced science and technology, and build a market-oriented technological innovation system with deep integration of industry-university-research, and cultivate a high level innovative team. Enhance international competitiveness, jointly create a new vision and new situation for the development of the Asia Pacific region, and show more powerful Chinese power in the international stage of manufacturing industry.
